The International Industry Congress for Energy Transition (CITE) is not just another congress. is not just another congress. In fact, this biennial event has become the benchmark event where leaders in the renewable energy sector meet to discuss the present and future of this industry.

“Here it is the CEOs and general managers who contribute their vision and take the floor, which gives our event a credibility and a differential value that is very difficult to find in other congresses,” says Iker Chasco, managing director of Enercluster, the organizer of CITE.

In this sense, unlike other events focused on a single technology, CITE is committed to a global and transversal vision of the energy transition. “We are not talking in isolation about solar, wind, storage or green hydrogen, but about a complete system that needs synergies to move forward. This integrated view is what makes the networking much more enriching,” Chasco emphasizes.

A CONGRESS WITH INTERNATIONAL PROJECTION

This year’s edition, on the other hand, reinforces its international character with a first class agenda (which can be consulted here HERE) and an important institutional support headed by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, to which must be added the presence of the CEOs of some of the most relevant companies in the global arena. In the words of the managing director of Enercluster: “The CITE is the meeting point for those who are really driving the energy transition”.

In this context, Iker Chasco recalls that Navarra has a pioneering ecosystem in renewable energies, built over more than three decades thanks to innovation and talent. “Today renewables represent the third sector in contribution to the regional GDP, and 68 % of the electricity we consume comes from clean sources. The CITE is the ultimate expression of this commitment and of this trajectory”.

Enercluster, for its part, is the organization that gives cohesion to this ecosystem and is the driving force behind CITE. “Practically the entire wind and solar value chain is represented here, as well as an emerging storage and green hydrogen sector. The CITE is, therefore, the space where we listen to each other, make decisions and move forward together,” he concludes.
